Kokomo

​Are you looking for a beautiful, blue-eyed girl that will hang on your every word and adore you like no one else? Kokomo might be your pup! Her life started out rough, but she is looking forward to a bright future! Kokomo is friendly with most everyone, but she will form a strong bond with her special person.  Although Kokomo needs exercise, she loves to cuddle on the sofa and just be with her person. Kokomo is an active girl and will need someone committed to giving her the physical and mental exercise she needs. Kokomo would be an excellent hiking or jogging buddy. She would love going camping and on fun adventures. Kokomo loves going for car rides!

Kokomo spent 2 weeks with a professional trainer at Paws Up Dog Training. She worked on her obedience, learned to walk nicely on a leash, and got to meet new people and dogs. Kokomo learns quickly and is very treat motivated.

Kokomo gets along pretty well with dogs her size in her foster home. She can play a bit rough and is a little bossy with them. Kokomo has done well with the adult cats in her foster home that are dog-savvy. We feel Kokomo would do best in a home with older, respectful children or just adults.

Kokomo is housebroken and crate trained.  We strongly encourage adopters to continue her training to help guide them through teaching their new friend how to be calm, confident, and well mannered.

Kokomo is going to make the best Adventure Buddy and Best Friend for some lucky person!

Kokomo came to us the day after she had given birth in a rural shelter. The poor girl was brought in as a stray and never reclaimed. We were able to get her and her puppies into a foster home, and she raised her pups until they were weaned. This sweetheart is done having pups and is ready for the single life now!
